The best projects in the field of mining digitalization were selected at the MINEDIGITAL competition, which was held for the first time at the MINEX Russia Forum. Of the 11 presentations the “Pure ore – CleonOre 4.0” project developed by “Nornickel” became the winner and won the gold prize.
MineDigital – the first competition Industry 4.0 technology for the geological and mining industries was held on 9 October in Moscow alongside the 15th MINEX Russia Mining and Exploration Forum. The competition provided platform for the presentation of the innovations in the field of digitisation, automation and robotisation.

Presentations were evaluated by the leading experts from Polyus, Nordgold, Highland Gold Mining, Polymetal, Nornickel, Institute of Geotechnologies and Exploration Capital.

The contestants were awarded MineDigital diplomas, the winners received prizes from MINEX, Lake Mining Company and SkyEng.
The gold winner of the MineDigital competition became Denis Miganov, Consultant, Norilsk Nickel who presented the “Pure Ore – CleonOre 4.0” project. Dmitry Yakovlev, Development Director of A9 Systems won silver award for the presentation “Improving the performance of ball mills through the integration of a digital system for monitoring the operating mode”. The project “Intellectual tailings pond” presented by Maria Smirnova, consultant with Norilsk Nickel won the bronze prize.
A jury “sympathy prize” established by Polymetal was awarded to Dmitry Dobrynin, Chief expert, IGT Group for the presentation “A comprehensive method for assessing the gold potential of license areas”.
