Graduated from the Moscow Engineering Physics Institute (1972). Since 1974, he has been working at the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Mineral Resources named after N. M. Fedorovsky. Currently he holds the position of the first Deputy General Director and heads the department of analytical, mineralogical and technological research.
