Born on August 16, 1965 in the Moscow region in the family of a mining engineer.

Grew up in the city of Inta, Komi ASSR

Young impressions: prints of ancient plants on coal and rocks stored for a boiler room in the courtyard of the house.
Children's hobbies: music school (cello class), Children's youth sports school.
Since 1982 - training at the Moscow Mining Institute: mining electrical engineer (diploma with honours), graduate school, candidate of technical sciences.

Valuable achievements in youth:

- Candidate Master of Sports in Boxing
- Vice-champion of the Moscow Youth Boxing Championship (1984).

Professional activity:
Professor of the Department of Electrification and Energy Efficiency of Mining Enterprises, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Vice-Rector of NUST “MISiS”.
Chairman of the Federal Educational and Methodological Association.
Full Member of the Society of Mining Professors (SOMP)
