Led by Mark Chesher, Technical Director – Moscow, AMC Consultants’ team will open this year’s MINEX with a masterclass on using data to advantage. A mining and mineral processing operation is a complex chain of interlinked activities from drill rig to final products such as concentrates, metal anodes or blended feeds for blast furnaces. This masterclass will address these challenges.
The masterclass is the fifth instalment of what has been a very well-received masterclass series that has brought experts from AMC’s global offices to Moscow. Mark Chesher will open the Masterclass with a presentation on the various applications of digital twins for mining and mineral processing operations. He will present a case history for using a digital twin to improve forecasting of copper and gold recovery. This will be followed by Bruce Gregory, General Manager, Perth, who will discuss how to avoid the most common errors observed in the mining reconciliation process and instead develop systems for ensuring quality data as a base for models in all areas of mining and processing. From our office in the UK, Mark Burnett, principal Geologist, will then move on to the role benchmarking will play in developing predictive models that have a sound basis.
