Evgeny was appointed as Chief Legal Officer, Corporate and Regulatory Affairs in 2014 having joined Nordgold as Chief Legal Officer in 2007. Evgeny previously was a senior lawyer at the mining division of Severstal (LSE: SVST).

Evgeny leads a strong team of legal specialists who cover each of the core disciplines and ensure Nordgold meets the legal requirements across the group. He is also accountable for internal and external communications alongside broader stakeholder relations.

Evgeny graduated from St. Petersburg State University with an LLM in Law (with honours) from Northwestern University (Chicago).
