Larisa Zheltova was born on June 29. In 1984, she graduated from Irkutsk Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Metal Engineering. She has been involved in science, engineering, production and management in the gold-mining industry for more than twenty years.

She worked as a research officer at VNII-1 (Severovostokzoloto Industrial Association), a technical supervisor of Karamkenskaya mill, the Chief Metallurgical Engineer of the mill at Omolonskaya gold ore company (Kubaka mine, Kinross Gold Corporation), and the Chief Metallurgical Engineer of Trans-Siberian Gold.

In 2006 she completed a certified project management course at Ango Gold Ashanti. She has published scientific papers and patented a number of inventions.

She joined Arlan in 2010, and manages the development project at the Pavlik gold ore deposit.
